IS IT POSSIBLE NOT TO OVERSPEND IN LONDON? HERE’S YOUR GUIDE ON HOW TO SPEND A FULL DAY IN THE CAPITAL OF ENGLAND UNDER 30 £
SUNDAY, 29th of january
This is how we managed to spend a day in London under 30£ .
We took the tube from Kensington for 2.5£ and started the day at The English Rose and Tea Shop near the Buckingham Palace. We ordered the TRADITIONAL FULL ENGLISH BREAKFAST for 11.95£ and ENGLISH BREAKFAST TEA POT for 3.1£. The portions were enormous so we decided to split it. This was one of the best breakfast places I’ve ever been to. They open at 9am so make sure you’re there by than. They don’t take reservations so it’s first come first serve. 10/10 from us!

After breakfast we started walking towards the Buckingham Palace to see the changing of The King’s Guard. It takes place in front of Buckingham Palace at 11:00am and lasts for about 45 minutes to an hour and a half and it’s freeee!
You can check out the schedule here : change of the Guard.

Around 1pm we started walking through St. James’s park and meet a bunch of friendly squirrels.
We soaked up some sun and headed to Big Ben.

Big Ben is under construction and is currently closed so all we could do was just “window shop”. We also saw the Palace of Westminister and Westminister Abbey. Sadly they were both closed since it was a sunday but we still enjoyed soaking up their beauty from the outside.

Since it’s still winter time and the sun sets around 5pm we still had about 2h of daylight left.
We decided to walk on the south bank and enjoy all the views. The beautiful London Eye made
the sunset even more special.

After spending the afternoon looking at all the must see atractions London has to offer we decided to go to Covent Garden and get some food and drinks! It was around 5pm so that means tea time! We went shopping in the Jubilee Market and taste tested a bunch of tea. 6£ for tea. Sounds good 🙂

As the day went by and the night came closer and closer we decided to call it a day on our quest of how to spend a day in London under 30 pounds. Eventhough London is known for fish and chips we had to get these burgers. They were just what we needed after a long day of sightseeing. This restaurant chain is called Honest Burges and you can find them all over the city. 11.50 £ for a meal+ 6 £ for a pint of local beer. Yummy!

We grabed a tube and went to our hotel. 2,5£ again please.
This day was just what we needed. Sun and so much fun. Hope you enjoy London as much as we did!
In total we spent :60,05£ for 2 people. Call it a success!
